Every business should squared away their Social media strategy. If you don’t have one, you might get behind in this competitive age. So far, 2019 have been a whirlwind year for social marketing and upcoming years will see a major change. 

Facebook got caught into controversies because of it’s privacy concerns and algorithm changes. If we talk about Instagram, they passed one billion users mark and rolled out a whole array for business features. Few days ago, they also removed the “following activity”. All these social media giants are making themselves better by rolling out updates and enhancing features. It is quite important to update your social media marketing strategy from time to time. Above all, you must know what outcome you need from social media. Keep in mind, social media marketing is not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Your goals should be attainable. You should know, your goals will affect everything, from your budget to your targeted audiences.

Making assumptions is not good at all and the same applies for social media marketing. Your targeted audience will affect your campaigns and is the key to build a brand. Do proper research and find out what demographics, age group and interest suits your business most. 

Watch Your Competitors 

Before doing anything on Social Media, you should know what your competitors are up to. Doing competition analysis can build a path to successful business campaign. I am not saying that you should steal ideas from your competitors but this will give you an Idea what’s working for them and what is not. 

Different Platforms, Different Strategies 

What’s working on Instagram will not work necessarily on Facebook. You might have to get different strategies for each social media platform. Getting Instagram followers might land you customers, but on Facebook you will have to do some extra gig.
