Season 2 of “The Hills” Reboot Is Back on MTV

On Monday, MTV announced that Season 2 is formally revamped for The Hills: New Beginnings.

The news came soon after June when the series’ reboot was first premiered. It features initial cast members that starred in Heidi and Spencer Pratt’s early hit series, Audrina Patridge, Justin “Bobby” Brescia and Brody Jenner. Newcomers Brandon Thomas Lee and Mischa Barton will also join them.

Barton said the main reason for her to do the series was that she felt there has always been a lot of mystery around her. She further added that she has had her share of bullying and not bullying, idolizing and not idolizing which has finally led her to where she is now. 

She said it was about time to sort everything that has been going on about her and she is now sure of who she is as a woman. 

The premiere of the reboot was on June 24. Only 3 episodes have been released so far. Also appearing on the show were Jason Wahler, Frankie Delgado, Stephanie Pratt, and Whitney Port. 

However, Lauren Conrad, starring in the MTV series’ original, did not come back for the second season. Few cast members of the series came on BuzzFeed News ‘ Profile before the reboot aired and spoke about how adulthood, especially becoming parents and carrying out new duties has modified their views on the definition of drama. 

Partridge said once she had her child, she could see people in a different manner and analyze situations more clearly. It feels like you need to remove so many people from your life and the things that mattered earlier just don’t hold any place in your life now added Partridge. 

The original Hills series consisted of 6 seasons that went on from May 2006 to July 2010. It even resulted in a show titled The City starring Port, which was based on Port’s life in New York City. 

According to Nielsen, the show that established a bar for docuseries and changed the TV prospect of reality shows in the 20th century has been greeted by fans and took place as the number 1 fresh cable show for individuals aged from 18 to 49.

Barton seemed highly enthusiastic saying it makes her happy to see how people connect to these drama shows and mentally travel into a far land of The Hills or Marissa cooper to enjoy it fully.
